本书为《粤雅小丛书（英文版））》第二辑之一，是介绍广绣的文化普及读本。广绣发源于我国珠三角地区，是中国四大名绣之一——粤绣的重要组成部分。在海上丝绸之路繁盛时期，广绣作为重要外销品，不仅盛行于国内，还一时风靡西方。2006年，广绣被列入第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录。
