《机插双季稻研究进展(英文版)》介绍了当前中国水稻生产面临的挑战和困境，提出了解决策略。第一部分基于提出的策略，在国家重点研发课题和国家水稻产业技术体系岗位专家项目的资助下，从品种选择。第二部分讲述机插栽培技术改进；第三部分讲述种植制度优化；第四部分从3个方面开展了相关研究，并取得了较大进展。
