Inspired by far-away places in Asia, Africa and South America, people create small oases in private homes to remind them of exotic cultures. Thus ethno design has become a new trend in interior design: tropical wood furniture, bright colors like orange and red, ethno art and accessoires such as african sculptures, were rediscovered and merged with modern interiors. Exotic elements such as buddha statues, palmtrees and animal rugs are blended with modern architecture.
