A record number of entries were received for EXPOSE 8 (close to 6,300) which gave the judging panel the enormous task of selecting and voting on the best entries. The Advisory Board boasted a who's who of renowned artists including: Stephan Martiniere (concept artist and Grand Master), Lorne Lanning (Co-founder of Oddworld Inhabitants), Chris Sloane (Art Director of National Geographic), Max Dennison (matte painter and founder of Matte Painting UK), Chris Stoski (matte painter and concept artist), Brom (fantasy artist), and Philip Straub (art director and concept artist). Of the almost 6,300 images entered, 393 were featured in EXPOSE 8. These came from 283 artists in 52 countries (over one third of these artists were featured for the first time). With so many award winners, it was virtually impossible to squeeze any more entries in than we'd featured for EXPOSE 7, so we bit the bullet and added another 16 pages to all editions so we could sneak just a few more large images in.
